The Best Games of 2015 that I Played

Weird title I know but I didn't have a lot of time to get after all the great games released this year so I figured I would just go over the top games of 2015 that I did get my hands on.  It should go without saying but I will go ahead and state that this list is only games that I have played this year.  This means that games like Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Tomb Raider, and the likes are not unworthy of this list but that I couldn't play them and therefore can't include them in the list because I didn't have a chance to get an opinion on them!  Therefore, the following games are the best of the best that I played this year.

#5  Rocket League
In terms of multiplayer Rocket League has the best that I played this year and deserve to be in the top 5 because of this alone.   Who would have thought a game about cars and soccer could be so addicting and fun?   Make no mistake this is largely due to how Psyonix created a very solid physics system that allows for newbies to easil…

New Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Kingdom Hearts III Trailers

Last week at Jump Festa 2015 Square Enix revealed two new trailers for the upcoming entries in the Kingdom Hearts series.  Kingdom Hearts 2.8 sported a nearly 3 and 1/2 minute trailer while Kingdom Hearts III got a 2 minute trailer.  Both showed off some nice polished visuals as well. The  Kingdom Hearts 2.8 trailer dropped hints at what the story would be about while the Kingdom Hearts III trailer focused mainly on combat; however, it did drop a hint that the world from the Disney movie Tangled would be playable in the new game.  Both trailers can be watched below in one conveniently packaged video from Youtube, courtesy of the Kingdom Hearts channel.

No official release date has been announced for either game.   We will let you know when we find out more.

Nintendo Direct from 11.12.15

The most recent Nintendo Direct had many expectations behind it.  First and foremost it was the first Nintendo Direct (Direct from here on out) since the passing Satoru Iwata and as most people know he played a big role in the presentation of the Direct.  There was a lot of speculation as to if the Direct were going to continue or if a different delivery method would be employed.  Thankfully Nintendo chosen to continue using the Direct as their main source of fan interaction.  Reggie has taken over the roles of Iwata in the Nintendo Direct and I couldn't think of any person better for the job.

I am not writing this piece to explain what was said in the Nintendo Direct but rather focus on what I took away from the presentation.  In my personal opinion I think this Direct  was a very positive sign for Nintendo and a great way for them to regain some ground after E3 this year.  E3 was lackluster for Nintendo, partially because the previous year was when they released the majority of t…
