PlayStation VR Sales Continue To Soar

Sony's Andrew House, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said that the 3 months through June have seen the PlayStation VR headset move through 500k more units. "With such a brand new category you want a variety of platforms all doing well to create that rising tide and create the audience."

Final Fantasy IX Coming to PS4...TODAY!

As we have seen from other titles in the franchise that have made the jump to the PS4, there are some nice upgrades for the original PS1 release:

High-definition cinematics and character modelsAuto-save featureSeven optional booster features, including high speed mode and no encounter mode, the Master All Abilities booster, allowing players to automatically master equipped weapons and gear, as well as features to maximize character levels, magic stone counts and gilPlayStation 4 trophy supportShare functionality and remote play with the PlayStation Vita

This is big news to see, because anything that has seen this treatment from Square-Enix, usually has a full PS4 remaster happen. (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII, X, X-2, etc.)

Shadow of the Colossus PS4 Pro TGS 2017 Trailer

The beloved PS2 title is making it's primetime return to the forefront with the PS4 remake coming out in 2018. This trailer showcases what is capable of the title while running on a PS4 Pro system. Could Sony be feeling pressure from Microsoft with the looming launch of the Xbox One X? Seems interesting that they are suddenly pushing the PS4 Pro more now.

Square-Enix has announced a new Survival Action game for the PS4 during the Sony TGS 2017 press conference. Glad to see Square-Enix trying out a new IP, even though it's mostly a safe bet. Toshifumi Nabeshima is leading the development, only the director of the Armored Core franchise; with Takayuki Yanase designing the mechs on display...(has only worked on Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles those are in good hands as well).
